BRING YOUR FRIENDS. RIDE GRAVEL. DRINK BEER.

The 4th edition of the Dusty Moon Gravel Ride will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

The Dusty Moon Gravel Ride is a labour of love. A group of gravel enthusiasts living in Mechelen, in the heart of Belgium, wanted to map out the best unpaved sections and celebrate all of the challenges that the region has to offer.

The name of the ride comes from Maneblusser (or Moon Extinguisher), a nickname for the people of Mechelen since the seventeenth century. The story goes that, one night in 1687, a man mistook the moon shining through the fog for a tower on fire and tried to put it out.

And the dust*? Well, that explains itself, right?

And that's the story of how the Dusty Moon Gravel Ride was born.

THE ROUTE

Dusty Moon offers two route options, the Mini Moon (100 km), and the Full Moon (150 km). The routes take you through the vast region of Antwerp province and Flemish Brabant, over dirt roads, hidden cobblestone sections and small country roads.

WE'LL BE RELEASING THE ROUTE JUNE 2023

Start & Finish Location

This year's start and finish of the Dusty Moon Gravel Ride is at Pachanga in Muizen (near Mechelen, centrally located in the heart of Belgium).

Enjoy the laid-back vibes after the ride with drinks, food, music and your fellow riders.
